I don't get where the disappointment comes in. I thought Uncharted 2 performed to expectations in that department, and as FamousRingo indicated, could exhibit a good deal of legs on its own

Certainly this isn't the first time that a game that was critically recieved as world-ending dynamite has failed to ignite the top of the charts (like whoever referenced Metroid Prime). Hell, those numbers look jubilant compared to Okami.

In the case of 360 games, you are correct, Gears & Halo both sold numbers PS3 exclusives barring MGS4 are yet to do.

But see the reason for this, In the PS2 generation only Gran Turismo from SONY did halo numbers

when GT5 comes out you'll see those numbers

3rd party wise PS3 is quite a beast.

In the PS1 era, Crash Bandicoot did even bigger numbers than Gears as well.

Uncharted 2 sold 3.5 million in 5 months... and increasing weekly... yet these sales are bad? And Ps3 games cant sell close to 360 games? Are you serious? People don't think this has another 1.5 milion left in it? It hasn't even become a budget title yet.

@letsdance, and near November we will surely see a GOTY version of the game, probably with new trophies and what not.

Uncharted 2 is a great game and has sold well. Case closed.

The fact that 1 new ip from Microsoft has sold better than this new ip (this gen) in Gears of war.. (or GeOW not GOW, that would be God of War), is really not too relevant, since that game sold to Americans, where 360 will probably always have a lead.

Kudos to Uncharted 2, lets see if a legitimate gripe comes from Pachter about GT (that would be Gran Turismo, not Game Trailers)
