In the case of 360 games, you are correct, Gears & Halo both sold numbers PS3 exclusives barring MGS4 are yet to do.
But see the reason for this, In the PS2 generation only Gran Turismo from SONY did halo numbers
when GT5 comes out you'll see those numbers
3rd party wise PS3 is quite a beast.
