yea they are very dissapointing..
American sales, are just over 900K, that isn't bad, but that isn't amazing either.. World wide 2.7-2.9 million, is very good, but for the game that won GAME OF THE YEAR everywhere basically, claimed to be one of the best console experinces on the market, and add to that the fact that the game is said to be one of the most beautiful games ever made visually.. 2.7 million compared to 10 million from another MARIO game or any Wii (insert title) game.. really really makes me feel sorry for sony.
They try so hard, to have people ignore there efforts.. and just go with w.e everyone else is doing.

I didn't realize it only sold 900k copies.......damn. Definitely dissapointing for me personally.

Patcher has said some stupid things but they were completely reasonable in that video. Uncharted and more so Killzone 2 should have sold more. Why is it that Gears of War manages 6 million as a new IP but the PS3's two biggest games won't? I'm not really sure maybe it marketing or competition or a console with a diverse base. Whatever the reasons Sony's big games aren't selling as huge this generation as they did last.

I can understand why people are disappointed with UC2's sales. Before release I'm sure how it's sold was almost unbelieveable. Thing is, it's ended up the game of the year and to me everything about it seems perfect to go on to be a big seller - the games appeal is just right, they nailed the marketing and it's got a strong online contingent.
While any game that sells like UC2 is a financial success, to me it nailed absolutely everything to be something even greater. Instead it faded off the NPD chart after a month.
I can undestand where Pachter is coming from, as the game to me has absolutely everything 'perfect' to be a huge seller, yet it was instead only a really good seller - and imo it's hard to see where its downfall was.
