I asked Ani Hawk about the Dec/LTD thing and he told me:

"everything I've posted today, with the exception of the Wario numbers have been ltd."

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=19503340&postcount=2435

More data:

LBP PS3 is 700k or so, but not counting GOTY edition.

For reference VGC has LBP at 1.41 mil in the Americas. That's a pretty big discrepancy!

LBP is a bundle favorite and NPD doesn´t count them

This makes what they post very sketchy then. I know for sure the COD:MW Reflex 500k+ LTD came from that thread.

It's very frustrating that gaf says they are the official numbers, but they always give the numbers in really vague layouts, don't have a database, and sometimes contradict themselves in any given thread.

@Manuelf

True. But was it temporary?

I don't know but there were bundles on Thanksgiving too

MGS4 number doesn't include the bundled copies, btw. This applies to all the games that were in official bundles. Also Uncharted 2 number is 949k by the end of December, it was posted multiple times already.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

Scribblenauts did really well considering how big their development team was. It has be be immensely profitable.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Kinda makes me wish there was a Metroid Prime Trilogy bundle I could point at.

Rabbids undertracked by some bit
Valkyria overtracked (quite a lot, but the game doesn't deserve it anyways)
MW reflex overtracked by some bit
Ratchet overtracked
Punch-out didn't get to a million afterall

This isn't just for december is it?

Nope, this is LTD.

Demon's Soul is overtracked too. Scribblenauts is undertracked, I'm sure that'll make some people happy.

Also GT PSP sold...really bad. <130k?

quite strange, everyone i know with a PSP have it :p

The continuing discrepancies are really hurting my faith in the numbers as of late
Sure, most are explainable, but I can't explain away some of them.
