It's pretty funny reading all those reactions from back then. :P

So, is there some sort of streaming thing I can follow today's event on? I've only briefly skimmed Apple's own website but couldn't find anything.

Yep. Reading old comments puts things in perspective about how right or wrong people's predictions were. I was reading a similiar thread from wii's announcement/launch. People were so exited and paying premium to get the console. It is a very special console but now years later they were saying it was the least used among their other consoles. Not defaming nintendo or anything. Just a perspective. :)

As for the stream. Engadged is suppose to steam it but it is just better to watch it later on youtube unless you are completely right now. Enjoy :)

Lol yeah I remember reading some threads about way back when Wii was announced. Hilarious stuff. :P

Hm, meh, yes I'll probably watch it later, I think I won't have time to watch it anyway. How long do these things usually last?

Usually hour or hour and a half of the best kool-aid in the world. Love it :)

Around the Network

I threw up a discussion thread for the iPad 3 here:

I included links to some good liveblogs and a rumour rundown.

No. I'll wait for the nuclear explosion of blog sites and threads that always follow iCrap iDevice reveals.

It is okay. You have only to benefit from this. Once they put their NFC chip in new ipads and iphones with iwallet. Your galaxy nexus google wallet should see the benefit as more companies and retail chains adapt their checkout centres for NFC payments. :)

That's true. Competition always improves the experience for everyone, however, I don't think an iPad will have NFC. iPhone 5 probably will tho.

I also think its funny that the biggest tech/gaming news during GDC week so far will be a product that isn't even at GDC. :/

Apple marketing is simply too good. It makes marketers for audi (one brand that has gained quite a bit in market share due to their marketing IMO) look like bunch of intern students. :)
