are you sure that's not an x360, your not getting mixed up are you?? no seriously if it's making a noise it will be the fans kicking in to cool it down, and the turning off part tells you the ps3 was overheating as a warning, at least it warns you lol.

its hot but not overheating.

just give it space and it will go down to normal level again.

i wont recommend playing in a very warm room a heavy game though.

my goes to full when outside its around 30-33 C.

its quiet at night.

The same way as u clean your ps3 from dust.

Switch it off with back button and then turn it on and hold eject button together.
