Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Got a Nintendo DS, got some questions

Ok, so my cousin bought a DSi and she let me have here old DS Lite. But the screen is loose now, is there any way I can tighten it.

Also I've had my eyes on a few DS games like Kingdom Hearts, Spirit Tracks, and Bowser's Inside Story (which I'll probably get first). So can some you guys recommend me some other good DS games? I usually play anything thats good, but I would like a nice lengthy game. And what future games should look out for?

Thanks in advance for the info.

I just bought a DS also ^^

I've been playing the new Kingdom Hearts. It isn't anything special...

play Phantom Hourglass, before you play Spirit Tracks. but if you don't want spoilers from Phantom Hourglass, play WInd Waker on Gamecube first

Phoenix Wright is a must-have.

Pokémon, Platinum i think it is now. but i like Diamond

ummmmm... hmm. its been a while since i bought any DS games, i dunno :/

Main story is 25 hours, 100+ hours to do everything.

I played a few hours of it on my cousin's DS, and I thought it started off kinda slow but I figured it would get more interesting later on.

@trashleg, I forgot all about Phantom Hourglass, I'll have to get that too.

Hmm...well it's hard to explain but you use pins to fight and pins have different abilities like fire, ice, beams, physical attacks, projectiles, etc. You play with two screens. On the bottom is Neku who you play as and on the top is the party mmember who you can control too if you want but your party members don't use pins.

Anyway if you like KH you should probably like TWEWY as it was made by many of the important members that made KH. The game has a really great story, especially if your read the Secret Reports, the battle system is fun and innovative, the music is great, characters are cool, and there's a lot of stuff to do.

I'll give it a try.

2D Platformer/Sidescrollers:
-Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow (Castlevania games aren't for you? Forget it because this game can make you change your opinion)
-Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
-Castlevania: Order Of Ecclesia
-Contra 4
-N+ (if 2D platfmormers is a good thing for you, you should give this game a try on xbox live or DS)
-New Super Mario Bros.

Action:
-Geometry Wars: Galaxies
-Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
-Metroid Prime Hunters
-Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword (nice gameplay and graphics for a DS game)
-Space Invaders Extreme 2

Adventure Point and click:
-Hotel Dusk (incredible game)
-Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (This is one of my favorite franchises this generation)
-Professor Layton and the Curious Village
-Time Hollow

Puzzles:
-Planet Puzzle League
-Tetris DS (I am not a Tetris fan but I really like this game)

RPG:
-Chrono Trigger (if you never played the original game or the psx game)
-Dragon Quest IV
-Dragon Quest V
-Final Fantasy IV
-Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
-Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
-The Dark Spire (if you want to play an old school RPG)
-The World Ends With You

Tactics:
-Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings (storyline is meh but it's a good game)
-Luminous Arc (similar to FFT but it's more simple and has a better storyline)

Rhythm:
-Elite Beat Agents (awesome game but I prefer Ouendan, so if you can import games and you like japanese songs, give Ouendan a try)
-Rhythm Heaven (hard but very addicting)

Simulators:
-Trauma Center (yeah, it's veeery hard, but I like it)
-Trauma Center 2

Phoenix Wright games -- amazing games with wonderful story & music. you are basically a lawyer in the game & solve murder mysteries that turn really hilarious & serious at the same time.

Dragon quest V -- You like JRPG's, you will LOOOOOOVEEEEEEE THIS GAME. Its a charmer with its graphics, fantastic world, gameplay & fabulous story set accross many many years, it feels like a true epic.

Professor Layton -- Really fun puzzle game

Zelda Spirit Tracks
