Forums - Sony Discussion - Best FPS of 2010 MAG

Maybe so but, MAG is a true Multiplayer based game 256 players online. Bioshock 2 doesn't have online but your right if it is amazing it might be hard to fight.

I was in both MAG and Battlefield2 Beta i preferred MAG. I found that in Battlefield you can get alot of campers in a game. or a team that rushes through and by the time your spawn your already lost but those flaws most likely will be fixed before the release just like some of mag problems. Which really i didn't find many besides the Knifing which i think they fixed. When you could only knife a crouched person when crouched and laying if your laying.

The Battlefield beta graphically was great, but then all the campers started to take over, from having snipers able to overlook a spawn area, to spawning and some campers in a tank just blasting and gunning you, the MAG beta definitely needed more skill or attention whilst playing ,I never had a problem with knifing snipers whilst they were lying down in the MAG.

I don't know how well MAG will sell initially, but I'm sure it will be in for the long run and have a core following, in fact it already has.

If I had to choose which game has the most potential, then it has to be MAG, imagine a team deathmatch mode in future if they haven't done it already.

The chance of that is miniscule, in a year with Medal of Honor, Battlefield, Halo and Call of Duty releasing. And maybe Resistance, too.

And Halo and maybe even Half-Life Episode 3, which will probably come in another 'Orange box' with Left 4 Dead 2 and some smaller title like say Portal 2. Oh yea, I forgot Bioshock.

Exactly.

But so far, as of 26th January 2010, yes, MAG is the best FPS of 2010.

Call ofDuty will be the best FPS this year if Treyarch dont follow what iW did with MW2. iW are the ones moving the franchise forward even though they are always set in th past

Arguably it'll only hold that title for 3 days until Mass Effect comes out.

Depends on how loose your definition of FPS is

Hey, isn't ME2 a TPS (third person shooter)? MAG should hold the "crown" at least a little longer, probably until Bioshock 2.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

In the OP's opinion it maybe, I have a sneaky suspicion that critically the likes of COD7, Bioshock 2, Resistance 3 (asuming rumours are real), Halo Reach, etc, etc will all do better imo.

Good for the OP though if its an excellent game for him.

Pretty loose after I hit that about a dozen times.
