FF XIII OST debuts on number 2 of the Japanese album charts on its first day.

Three Ar Tonelico 3 albums also make the Top 10 (#4, #6, #7) for a rare sight of 4 game music albums in the daily Top 10.

These albums will be pretty front-loaded, though.

Got my girlfriend to pick up the Limited Edition for me today. No idea when I'm actually going to get hold of it though since she currently lives 8000km away...

Just listened to it, sounds good... but I still don't like RPG songs with lyrics hehe.

Also, I'm starting to lose faith for a PC release for this one :(

ummm i had no clue that the victory fanfare, prelude and overture tunes aren't in FFXIII :( so basically the Chocobo theme is the only one returning from previous titles.. and for those of you interested, there are two arrangements of the Chocobo theme and one of them even has vocals :) they're both nice i suppose

From first listening, I only liked really much Disc 2, 1 song (the one we have seen on trailers).
Well, gotta listen second time.

I just found out Hamauzu's wife (who is a soprano singer) provided vocals for "Dust to Dust".
His daughter AYA did vocals for "The Vestige", btw.
