I think so.
@Cypher1980: Remember that holidays can enlarge the weekly gap by a lot. It's not enough to just take the current weekly gap and calculate from there.

if things continue like this, it may after this christmas.
sony will be to cuto 1.5- 2 million before xmas, though i expect microsoft cut the price to the floor.
You guys better hope Sony cuts the price to $199 and bundle with GT5 this holidays!!!! or just pray Natal fails =P
Yes, because Natal is not going to "save" xbox, imho.
But then again, positions don't matter anymore. They'll share the same exact third party games, with one or two exceptions.
Last year, everybody was predicting Sony was doomed, and now everybody says it'll get in front of the 360... How quickly things changed.
I think PS3 will ultimately finish in front of the 360 and probably get in front as soon as next christmas (2010).
But MS has a lot of spare money, so they still can throw the kitchen sink and make it a lot more difficult for Sony. Natal is the key, I doubt it'll be successful but if I'm wrong, 360 could still stay in front.
Whatever happens, I want my 50$ Xbox 360 and a new 100$ PS3 so it's ok for me.
We win as gamers as long as competition lasts.
Natal won't be huge, but it probably will do better than Sony's motion control. But then again, PS3 3D support might even that out. That said 2011 is a given, even if Microsoft cuts the price so will Sony and in 2011 PS3 will definitely get to the $199 sweet spot.(just look at what it did for Wii).
Considering that Sony still has one big system seller (GT5) to release I'd say this is highly likely in late 2010 or early 2011.
