Still, I agree about not getting it early with the next console.

This game was not developed for the Wii launch, it was a lucky side effect of the GC having a second Zelda so late in it's life cycle.

That's beside the point, it's still a Zelda title, that was released on a Nintendo system when it launched. Thus proving your point about never getting a Zelda game early in a Nintendo system's life false.

But I get what you're saying, of course.

I guess the difference is I just don't consider it a Wii game.  I played it on the GC and am STILL waiting for my Wii Zelda, 3 years into the systems life.

In 2013-2014 we'll get a "New Legend of Zelda", 2D style, possibly around the launch of the next Nintendo system

I can't see the next home console from Nintendo being released until 2015 imo...and the HD Zelda will be a launch title.


NO way! There is no possible explaination for nintendo to wait 9 years for anthor console. Since when do they do that?
That makes this generation last twice as long

2013-2014, considering the work on the new Zelda started even before TP was released (early 2006) I think they can start working on it this year...and every Zelda has 2-4 years of development (4 for TP, 4 for Zelda Wii, 2 for portable Zelda games) so 2014 sounds right...
