@gamings_best, You do realize the game has play types for just TDM gameplay, right? *facepalm*
Also, MW2 is no different from any other FPS. If you are good at it, you are good at them all. Especially if you play it right and use teamwork rather than just camp or go run'n'gun. What I am talking about in MW2 has nothing to do with consistency, though I do not understand your argument. Bullets hitting different parts of the body should cause different amounts of damage. This seems far more realistic than always taking the same amount of bullets no matter where you hit. The issue with MW2 is just from latency/lag. That's why I used the killcam example because it proves that in that split .5 second gun battle, you may have shot 5 bullets on your screen, but due to latency, the other person never saw you fire to begin with and he is the one that gets the kill then. MAG is dedicated servers, so that should help tremendously on this type of lag, and I was not trying to say it occurs as often as it does in MW2. From what I hear the lag is very very minor in MAG.

@Dgc, yes it was the open beta, and no I have not played it. I am speaking purely by ear from what I have heard.

@CGI, thanks for clarifying. I wonder if anyone has actually played in a 128v128 setup?

bull fucking shit

Um, no.  Pretty sure from my experienc with games like Halo, CoD (since the original), CS:S,  Rainbow Six, etc. have shown me this.  Once you are good at one FPS they are all pretty much the same and it is easy to be skilled at any of them.  Especially if you play it right and use teamwork rather than just camp or go run'n'gun.  The only games that were ever different were like the old Quake/UT games that were all about jumping around like a maniac and had very unrealistic speed/gravity/weapons/shields/health systems.

funny the thing your idiot friends seem to do in this game instead of that first part. I'm sorry your post came off as though you approved what they were saying as though that's how MAG was.

oh and it's still b.s. I know people who clean house in MW2 but suck balls at everything elese. look you obviously been playing way befor MW2, and that is why you good at most shooter, because most shooters took skill, and teamwork to play like rainbow 6, and CS.S, MW2 takes no skill and no teamwork and really nothing at all, and if that's the shooter you start out with your gonna suck at everything elese, and thoes are the people I have a problem with.

I did and it was very fluid and lagless. I was surprised that lagg did not happen at all with all those people respawning at the same place, air strikes outside, taking over objectives, blowing gates and other things up....and yet There was lil to non lagg.

That setup does not happen before level 10. At level 10 you're able to choose Domination, and that's where the fun kicks in.

I have to completely disagree with that "once you've played one you've played them all" like comment.

Going from CoD4 to KZ2 required major adjustments. I was doing fine in CoD4. Rough start but during my last 3 months of playing that game I would always end matches with 1.8:1 or more K/D ratio. Killzone was a completely different game. I couldn't run and gun. I had to stay with others. An assault rifle, pistol, grenades and a purely rambo attitude didn't cut it any more. Also, defending objectives in KZ2 was usually more intense than pretty much anything i've witnessed in the over 3 weeks in total hours I've put into CoD4.

Going from KZ2 to MAG, there experience felt a bit more Arcadey than like CoD4 but again, those that came in expecting cod4 like play never did aswel as everyone else that took the time to adapt to the game.

I'm sorry if I was unclear.  I did not mean to say that once you have played one you have played them all, I merely said once you are good at one, you are good at them all.  I too played CoD4 and Killzone 2 and found it an easy adjustment.  The only thing that took some adjusting was the close range combat was nearly impossible with the controls Killzone 2 used so you had to focus on staying a bit farther away and not rely on melee.

I also made it a point to stress that I was not talking about run'n'gun people in CoD.  I was talking about the true skilled players that actually use teamwork rather than camp or run'n'gun.

I guess I do agree that the amount of change they put into MW2 to make it noob friendly was frustrating for me.  I hate the way over-the-top auto-aim for example.  I much prefer CoD4 gameplay to MW2 as its like they definitely made it focus more on run'n'gun and noob friendliness.  And I guess I can see your point that if MW2 is the only FPS you have played and became good at, you may not be able to adapt and be good at other FPS games.  I forget sometimes that not everyone has been playing FPS games for more than 5 years

Calm down bud.

But you gotta admit CGI, that is a gross way of saying BS cus if you seperate the words it sounds so gross, I mean if you add literal meaning to them

ewww

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

@luvtospooge, so how exactly do the gametypes/levels relate? When you first start out what are you limited to? And then as you progress in level, what opens up? I take it Domination is the main form where you capture the objectives on the way to the center?
