Forums - Gaming Discussion - Help me I want my Wii!!!!!!

pfft, why PAL? Just import from USA. You'll get the games cheaper and mostly earlier too. Unless your TV is from 1990 it should be able to handle an NTSC signal.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I don't know how strict the customs office is in UK. If it's anything like the one in Portugal, they'll make him pay taxes through his nose on both hardware and software. At least it has happened when buying books according to a guy I know.

That's for importing from outside the EU, of course. Inside the EU there are no taxes for trade.

I want to swap games with my mates they have pal. :(

Definitely good advice from NJ5. I wouldve said ask someone in Germany to send it over, as there is ample stock here. Amazon.de if they deliver sounds about right.

i bought mine in germany too a few months ago. The only difference is that the plug is different but that can be corrected for about 2 pounds at any hardware store. Holland has a lot of spare Wii's too.

If you imported one from USA you'd have to fiddle with power converters, etc...

I wouldn't go through all that trouble and expense, but maybe some people would.
