I am getting a wii for christmas (hopefully)

I say hopefully because every single shop in Plymouth (UK) is sold out.

All the major and minor shops. They all say it's gonna be pot luck. Does anyone know If Nintendo are sending extra batches out around the world this year.

Nintendo has been stockpiling Wiis. Reggie of NOA has stated that this holiday season will be unprecedented in the number of Wiis available. Although, supply will still not meet demand.

Since you're in UK, order one from amazon.de. It will even be cheaper (even counting delivery charges). Instructions:

 Just curious,  does the German site ship to the UK?  Amazon has a UK store (but it is sold out of Wii's).

Wii is selling crazy here. I'll do anythng as long as it's a pal console in english.

They do, and as I said it turns out to be cheaper than paying for one in GBP.

The Wii asks you what language you want when you first turn it on, I believe. And if what NJ5 said is true, then go buy your Wii here!

All you will need to buy is a plug adaptor to convert the 2-pin german plug to the UK’s 3-pin plug, these can be bought cheaply at B&Q, Homebase or any other hardware store!!

Don't forget to buy component cables if you have an HDTV with component inputs, or you'll get substandard image!

The official ones are 30 € though :O

I haven't bought a Wii yet so I don't know if it's worth it to buy the official cables, but I heard it is.
