Hmm actually it probably is lot closer to 5M than we think.
It seems there's around 50k undertracking in Japan and who knows how many in EU (as the current sales trend make no sense)

5m doesn't seem like a stretch by any measure as long as the game continues to be issued as a budget platinum title.
Considering the impact of the game, I don't see it going out of production for the life of the PS3.
Personally, I'd still like the opportunity to buy a re-vamped MGS4 along the lines of Substance and Subsistence. Full install would be a welcome addition plus additional play modes, playable Raiden stages (using gameplay elements from MGS Rising), etc.

That's why I think price will play a really big role in it's sales in the next few months. I don't about other people, but, when I buy a system I usually pick up some cheap games to along with it.

Well I dunno if most people do that
I usually buy the new games out at the time when I get a new system. It differs I guess.

Yup it definetely has & thats not even counting sales of a possible re-release The game really met & surpassed all my sales expectations for it. But crazzyman expected like 7 - 10 million from it, so there are some that won't be pleased |
Yes it dose seem to be more populer now hopfully it will get to 5m. also it is said that alot of pepole see games that don't do ultra high numbers as fail and ones that don;t do 1M as fail these days.

Yes a Substance Version would be awesome I hope Kojima will make it happen.

I second this
Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
Just think, if the PS3 sells on average 200k a week that's a potential 200k new mgs4 buyers, it will very much likely happen, even quicker if there is a trophy patch as someone mentioned earlier.

Normally I'd agree but, this year is different. For me at least, the next 3 months will be busier than the Christmas season was and I don't think I'm alone. I also believe a lot of people will be picking up PS3's in these months. And I believe MGS4 (along with Uncharted!) will be a great/cheap game to accompany their new PS3. So I expect sales to stay put for a good, long while for MGS4. |
busier than the xmas season,really
how do you mean are we just talking about MGS4,i assume we are
