It should sell 500k more by the end of PS3.

at 15K a week it will take 33 Weeks

BUT sales will only dip from here on out as the dry seasons approach

Normally I'd agree but, this year is different.

For me at least, the next 3 months will be busier than the Christmas season was and I don't think I'm alone.

I also believe a lot of people will be picking up PS3's in these months. And I believe MGS4 (along with Uncharted!) will be a great/cheap game to accompany their new PS3.

So I expect sales to stay put for a good, long while for MGS4.

Go MGS ! It should do it since this gen will last long. The game deserves every praise and GOTY award it got.

but due to so many games coming out in Q1, it could mean less people buying older games like MGS4, say in march, many PS3 owners may get GOW3 & FF13. Not having enough money for old games

but as PS3 Hardware sales will be bigger than last year hopefully the game sustains itself well

That's why I think price will play a really big role in it's sales in the next few months.

I don't about other people, but, when I buy a system I usually pick up some cheap games to along with it.

Of course Snake can crawl to the 5 million, it was impossible to lose that little minigame.. But, with the growing popularity of PS3, it can probably make it past 7 million.. But, people just need to be reminded of how awesome the game is, and that it still exists..
