Well then you don't know the definition of underdog.
The underdog this gen was the wii. There was a time when sony was the underdog... with the Ps1 |
LOL...using his logic...Windows 7 was the underdog before its launch.

Selling consoles at a loss is a part of business console model. You first lose money on consoles, then earns more on software and peripherals. MS does it, Sony does it. MS console is older, so Sony becomes profitable later, it's only logical. If your console doesn't sell enough, you lose bilions, like MS lost bilions on Xbox 1. Both Xbox 360 and PS3 are selling well and won't have this problem.

I don't understand this statement. If the Sony were to be just behind Microsoft in an exact sense they would have posted profitable yearly results starting two years ago. There is no logic in your statement.
Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?

cheap price + gimick controls ? |
so high price with gimmick controls is ok since Sony is releasing motion control with PS3? I thought we are moving past the gimmick control part since both MS and Sony are trying to get into it...
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Except that nearly every analyst and fanboy picked the PS3 to win until after it launched and they realized people weren't going to spend $600 on it.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
For many people, being able to spend a few moments with family and friends playing a fun game is worth more than gold. That is a quality experience.

Wow, i never thought id see people arguing that the PS3 outselling the 360 weekly now and being this successful is "expected"
I guess i shouldnt be surprised but i guess part of me hoped people could use some logic.
I dont care about the PS2 or PS1......that whole landscape changed in november 2006. The PS3 WAS a disaster of monstrous proportions.....people downplaying what its able to do right now in its life cycle after the negative press, negative mindshare, negative everything are simply put, crazy.

People behave as if somebody stuck a gun at Sony's head to put out the msot expensive console ever...it was there own arrogance, not the fault of anybody else.

Wait I'm confused. If disolitude already derailed the thread, what does it matter if I entered the stage?
