Selling consoles at a loss is a part of business console model. You first lose money on consoles, then earns more on software and peripherals. MS does it, Sony does it. MS console is older, so Sony becomes profitable later, it's only logical. If your console doesn't sell enough, you lose bilions, like MS lost bilions on Xbox 1. I don't understand this statement. If the Sony were to be just behind Microsoft in an exact sense they would have posted profitable yearly results starting two years ago. There is no logic in your statement.
