it'll be close but I think it'll make it. There are like 10 games right now currently on the brink of hitting platinum and only need a bit longer to give them that extra push. Plus there are a decent amount of games coming this year like Mario Galaxy, Zelda Wii, Epic Mickey, Metroid: Other M, Red Steel 2, Pikmin 3, Monkey Ball: Step and Roll, that are basically guaranteed a million or have a great chance.

Wii had 32 titles reach platinum last year, and it's already starting out strong with 2 more in the first week. And like you say, 2 more are on the way... so I think Wii will have a pretty good chance of reaching that milestone.

By shipments it should have 100 games top 1m by the end of the year rather easily because as of September 2009:

There are 70 so far by sellthrough, I'd wager 75-80 by shipments through December since publishers wanted to make sure there was enough stock of their games over Christmas.

We have to remember as each year goes by more & more people are buying consoles.  So I definitely believe Wii will surpass this amount.

I'm shooting for 90 at the best scenario.

Let's all realize that the Wii is a great system, with a great price and it just fits.  They are getting a new lineup of games so that will definitely push the sales.
