Well, as for the general public, it's not acceptable. If a parent doesn't mind their kids playing a game like that, they are more then welcome to buy it for their kids. The last thing ESRB needs is negative critisim for saying "Oh, it's nothing that hasn't been seen before... Hell may as well rate every game E...

I think it got a 15/16+ across Europe, so it must be mainly the nudity accounting for the M in the US. Violence tends to push to 18+ here.

Well, nudity is considered alot worse than violence here in the US

Which is hilarious. Over half the world had boobs and vaginas. You see them every damn day. However, spine cords, organs, blood, and entrails are just a-ok....

I'd never heard of the film when some years ago an Irish friend told me about it (it was still banned there at the time). I ordered the DVD from the French Amazon and the 12+ rating was hilarious.
Ahh well a mature rating for nudity will be good for at least an extra 200K in sales.
