It's alright.
Games like Just Dance, Your Shape, Deal or no Deal and The Biggest Loser are selling significant units and making up for it.
Oh yes, Silent Hill is still very popular:
And it probably sold 1 million on the PS1... right?
Then, it's time to bash the Wii!
Actually,
These are leaked numbers and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was only on the market for 4 days.
Secondly, Silent Hill: The Home Coming for the Xbox 360 and PS3 did not light up the charts either. Matter of fact, Silent hill has never been a big IP. This is a sales site so check the sales.
Question:
Why is everyone so ready to call a third party game on the Wii a bomb? I was on another site called Gonintendo that had the same article and the majority just called the games bombs even after being told the Sales of Silent Hill: The Home Coming and that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles had only been on the market for four days. It's like people want the Myth to be true that 3rd party games can not sell on the Wii that any evidence to disprove this is Ignored.

If "Silent Hill" really IS a niche series, then this is selling on par, or will probably eventually get longtail legs depending on how Europe responds to it when it debuts there and/or the PS2 and PSP versions debut. Even so, Konami didn't say it was jumping ship with Wii or with the series yet, so there's no need to panic just yet.
"Crystal Bearers" might be tougher though; it's divided quite a lot of people, and even though the sales of it so far encompass only five days it has yet to be seen if it'll do more than that. S-E still has DQX to go, though, so we won't lose them.

And that's supposed to be a Nintendo fan site. I'm starting to wonder if some people on those sites really are plants from Wii hating companies.

500k is a shit number. If you dont hit a 0,000,000 youre a failure bros. Accept it.
No matter how shitty these games sales (I could care less) they're still here and still coming. I still get to play them. So if everyone misses out I dont give a fuck. I still get to play and enjoy em which is good enough for me. Now back to Innocent Aces another game people will bitch and moan about when it comes to sales.

Sadly, that's just the image Wii has for 3rd party game sales, despite examples of 3rd party success stories. What I find odd is that everyone overanalyzes every single Wii 3rd party game when it performs poorly in sales, but not a word from the countless HD 3rd party games that do poorly. Yeah there are more HD success stories but that's because there are by far more core 3rd party games on those platforms!
If Wii recieved anywhere near the amount the HD consoles recieve, and the amount of emphasis placed on the games, rest assured there would be a lot more success stories. It's just that the 3rd party games are few and far inbetween, so every flop games magnified, while the HD core flops are just never spoken of because there are enough success to hide that. Wii simply doesn't have the strentgh in numbers when it comes to quality 3rd party core games.
"because there are enough success to hide that"
Except when they post losses. Plus when you have the gaming press on your side, they can easily refuse to discuss those.

NO Nintendo fan site is ever populated by Nintendo fans. When Nintendo.com had forums, the Xbox fans took that site over. Any time I wanted to discuss games or find gaming information about games for my Cube it always turned into The Xbox vs the Cube. I'm not into the system wars stuff. I could careless. I just like to know what games are coming out for the systems that I own. Sometimes gamers suggest games that are similar to games that I like that I passed over or suggest games that are good that I may be interested in. That's all I want/wanted to know. But thread topics were derailed by system wars crap. I just left that site and never went back to visit the forums. When they closed them down. I did not care.
