I'm pretty confident Versus 13 will be better, from my point of view they changed too much on FF13 for me to like it.

Nope, FFXIV is the MMO. FFXVIII is going to be a SP game, more action oriented than any Main FF game, kinda like a KH game, mixed with the fast action sequences of Advent Children

So wait FF versus 13 is what? 

From what we know so far, it's going to be a darker themed FF, centered around the mythology of the world of Cocoon. 

Nomura said that the focus and gameplay of the game is going to be a mix of KH and Advent Children, as both of the teams are working on this FF. It's not going to be a main FF, it's more of a spinoff, like FFX-2 and FF Mystic Quest were. 

Hmm. 

With the name Versus you think it would be a MP title or coop.

Oh but what a truly fun game this "spin-off" will be if the battle system is really going to be Advent Children and KH-like, one things for certain, it will be far more intense then final fantasy 13.

That may be so, we can't tell right now as we don't know anything about it other than the videos shown so far, none with actual gameplay.

Nevertheless it's still a spinoff. I know people who have enjoyed FFX-2 much more than other main FF's, yet that doesn't make it any less than a spinoff (and sequel) than it is. Crystal Chronicles, Dissidia, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, all of them are spinoffs based on the franchise, as they aren't part of the main series itself (you could argue that some are direct sequels or prequels to a main game, but they themselves are spinoffs).
I have faith in S-E and Nomura that they can pull through and make a wonderful experience, and that this will be the best FF spinoff ever created xD 

@tehdark- wasn't dirge of cerberous a full sequel? and X-2 was aswell right?
