your grievance is well understood, to me the only respectable game movie is Hitman

silent hill

That movie had a good cast and a decent script. Tekken isn't getting any of that love at all.

i dont know why all the hate,,, i mean its a Movie based on a FIGHTING GODDAM VIDEOGAME (had to use it sully : ) ,, dont go watching this expecting an Oscar winning performance, just take it as it is, and it seems to be miles ahead of street fighter and DOA,,, as of Mortal Kombat1, no adaptation could surpass that imo,

Tekken as far as story is concerned, shouldn't be compared with failed games like DOA and Mortal Kombat. Their biggest failures are the backstories of the characters and prelude which leads to the plot in the actual videogames which leads to them fighting for a final result. This sets Tekken apart from all other fighters. It is the longest lasting fighter to remain with a relevant storyline. This is the reason Soul Calibur could never surpass it.

Hmm, animals that talk, wooden dolls that are magically alive, robots, ancient god of war, some other ancient god monster, men catching bullets with teeth, ninjas with magical stick feet riding on the underside of jets while standing and a devil that for some reason has to manifest itself genetically despite other such beings just appear.

Yeah, great story.

You just listed things you dislike about the characters, not the story. Second of all...haven't you ever watched anime?

Having watched anime doesn't qualify Tekken for a good story. Any story that involves a fighting tournament to avoid *insert catastrophe of choice* is just poor.

It worked for me in Dragonball because I was a kid, it doesn't work now.

I want to see Bloodsport be turned into a good videogame.  When I saw the movie, I thought it would be awesome if they could do a game based on it.  Well, of course we have a lot of games that are like the movie Bloodsport now, at least in the range of fighting types.

In regards to Tekken, I hold very little hope of a decent videogame to movie being done, that I thought the trailer didn't look too bad.  It looks like it might be watchable as far as a movie go.  In regards to posts on here, I am SHOCKED that anyone would take the back story to Tekken seriously in any shape or form.

Wow this looks bad probably should have added this to my list of movies that I'm not looking forward to in 2010 thread, except the movies on my list have bigger budgets and more stars but suck just as hard. If you consider all movies that are released this year this should easily be one of the ten worst.

yes obviously you're right, silent hill wasn't half bad,

the teken film is not looking up to that standard from your trailer,i guess it will be all about the fight scenes and how they come off
