Oh joy. Sony and PS3 fans have complexes. Kind of sad given that the data files amount to less than 7 Gb on the ps3 game disc itself. You know what held back the ps3 version? Cutscenes.

What is this, grade school? It sure feels like it when you read some of these posts. Especially the ones that will be quoting this one.

Once again the mighty PS3 was beaten by the puny 360. It sucks not to be market leader anymore.


This is what this discussion makes me think and, honestly, I pitty the PS3 fool fanboys.

They WANT TO SELL 10 MILLION COPIES AND THERES NO CHANCE IN HELL.....without going muilt-platform of course and even then it's not going to happen:(

I had the same argument, only it's to say the game could be even better looking and less linear if it was a PC exclusive. In fact, all games could be bigger if they were PC exclusives. It doesn't mean they should be. It doesn't mean it's a wise business decision. However in the vacuum world where no one cares whether a multimillion dollar project makes a healthy profit, PC exclusivity sounds great for every game.

Think about how much bigger FF VII, FF VIII and FF IX could have been had they not been constrained by the Playstation's limitations? 

Think about the linear FF X and FF XII. Hell, even the Xbox could have benefitted them far more than the PS2 did. The Gamcube could have. In fact, outside of the Gameboy Advance and the defunct Dreamcast, the PS2 is the worst possible choice they could have made in satisfying gamer's demands to have the best game absolutely possible while ignoring any good business sense or console affiliation.

I agree. I don't need that game on 360.

I for one am glad it got ported to the 360, If they really was content that was cut out because of the 360 SE will probobly

make it DLC, or exclusive content in the future like they have for previous JRPG's.  Unfortuneately as good as this site may

i can't deny that there's some things i can't explain...like why the GAME content it's just 6.8GB ( less than a dual-layer DVD )...or why the GAME has cut off content...

but i don't blame the Xbox 360 for its hardware limitations, neither i blame microsoft because it's their job....i blame Square Enix for all this, because they downgrade their franchise, they risk part of the userbase they already had, risking the AAA status in the series, all just for a little more profit, i know, it's still profit, BUT, they're losing customers for their next installment on the series, and since it's the only thing they have, i can't see it going further without going back to what made them big.

I applaud them for making it Multiplatform, the mere entertainment it provided was worth it. Now if the would repeat this with Final Fantasy 13V.

PS: I am getting the ps3 version.

As its been noted, most games have content cut before release and its not due to the XBOX360 version. And most of the delays for FFXIII have been due to the actual development and timing the games release, not because of the XBOX360 addition (which was most likely planned well before last years E3 presentation).

And as I've said before, content being cut is nothing 5 more sequels, a prequel, 2 anime OAVs and a CGI movie can't fix.
