Thats good I guess, maybe I just expected more.
Lets hope it can outperform expectations.

I think this game would fare much better than 120k if released in America. All Ninty would have to do is position it in early December... and I'd say it would nab like 350k here lifetime.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

There are basic things like bigger userbase, but I think the West just gets hyped for things more. I mean, look at Galxy, MGS4, Zelda- all those things sell better in the West.
But a better reason is, Westerners aren't so attached to brandname. In Japan, JRPGs not named, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Tales of "____" are shunned. I think Americans would be more accepting of a good RPG, even if it isn't from a blockbuster franchise. Although Xenoblade shares the Xeno name, it is still niche. Besides, how many JRPGs does the Wii get anyway?

I think The Last Story will do much better than Xenoblade though- it seems more like FF

White Knight Chronicles did pretty well in Japan though (despite being pretty bad game) and it was new ip.
