It's not going to be the "next brain age" and it's sales are mostly legs. So 1st week numbers are not that important.
But releasing it on the day of the new system is a great move, lots of impulse buys, I think. Plus, as was the case of the DSi XL, digital is definitely the way to go with the game, since it's 10 minutes max per day.

Brain Age 2 ended with 31 points, opened to 400k+ First Week. Like the Wii series and other games, Comgnet numbers on this game really don't mean a thing. Not saying it will do amazing numbers, but Comgnet is definitely not an indicator. I still predict at least 100k for Brain Age with the release of the 3DS XL

Yeah, 100k is a good guess. Maybe 150k, depending on how huge the XL is.
But this will probably be another case of Duck Hunt/Tetris/Nintendogs. It'll not be a 5 million seller, far from it.

I think since Brain Age had a sequel, then there will still be a major appeal, especially in Japan where handhelds are the major market. Still we have to wait and see I guess
Btw just saw this on Nippon Sales Age:
Pre-orders
DQX-251 (228, 23) (+55)
DQ:Swords was at 227 (Ended with 300 pt)
DQ Road Victory was at 179 (Ended with 258 pt)
DQ Collection was at 184 (Ended with 255 pt)
DQX is already almost past the last 2 games with 10 days to go. Their first weeks were 140k and 265k respectively. I would say DQX is somewhere between those two extremes.
