Right I know what you are thinking, you want to vote FF XIII straight away without even thinking right but before you do, please take the following into account.

For FF XIII:

• Excellent graphics, visualy mind blowing
• Lovable characters
• Unique battle system
• Plenty of sidequests to keep you busy
• Finally it was voted as the second best game in 2009 in JAPAN

For WKC:

After watching the latest WKC video I have found out it has:

• a huge explorable world (not as linear as FF XIII), with towns and plenty of NPC's
• battle system is like FF XII with a twist from what I know(no gambits but it is an action RPG)
• story is above average (about the same quality as the story line in FF XIII, some people may think it has less quality in this department)
• awesome online mode which reminds me so much of world of warcraft (for community wise, maximum player group of 4), plus you can create your own characters and towns for other people to visit(awesome), finally you can do quests (like WOW) and you get rewards for them which can be used in the single player mode as well.

In my opinion I think WKC is better than FF XIII at the moment. Please watch this video before you decide OK (the video does not give it justice, non HD video lol)

This was edited because I was a bit harsh on FF XIII and sounded like I was on a hate quest, wheras I was not, I just wanted to point out that WKC is a lot better than what reviewers have already stated.

White Knight Chronicles hands down. It's not even a competition anymore. Final Fantasy XIII is a joke.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. I've lost all hope of FFXIII being good. No wonder Squeenix didn't want to show FFvXIII gameplay footage for so long, they didn't want to make FFXIII look bad.

i think level 5 can kick square enix arse any day of the week now.


But! That might all change once Final Fantasy versus XIII and XIV comes out :P

FFXiii gets my vote from what I've seen (live streams). Ultimately, we can only judge by playing the games ourselves. Who's to say that FFXIII would be significantly affected by such a thing as a lack of NPCs and towns? People ae really sipping on the anti-FF kool aid this time around.

it is not just that, it's the lack of explorability, that is really a big thing to take out from FF XIII, really they cut too much from that game, I love FF normally and used to buy it no matter what, but this time it is earning my purchase, I am renting it and deciding on the outcome afterwards

you have to admit, WKC does seem to have better value for money (as for replay value, because of the online mode and explorability).

Edit: level 5 may become my new favourite RPG dev at this rate, I miss the old Square days
