I checked Ubisoft's sales for the week to see if even Haze is beating it. Haze didn't show up in the top 50, but GRAW2 for ps3 did, and it sold 3x as much as Killzone 2 last week in North America.

I don't understand it.

It's a ways down

398 copies, apparently

Ah, thanks for finding that.  At least it's selling better than Haze.

=(

A better question: why WOULD it do Halo sales? It doesn't have the brand following, word of mouth, previous iteration respect or marketing of Halo. In fact, the two games are only comparable in genre.

eeek! please no need to get iffy, i getcha' that does make sense.

Greatest Hits and bundles could help

It's almost as if consumers look at the box, see that Sony logo in the corner and then just put the game down and immediately walk away.

It's as if people are allergic to good first party Sony games this gen.

Uncharted 2 doesn't seem to agree. And, again, PlayStation games have never had huge sales. It's always been about the size of the library, and it's quality. No how many sales each game gets.

Uncharted 2 is selling great. And yes, you're right. (most) Playstation games have never been huge sellers.

However, A lot of them do deserve more sales than they get.... including KZ2.

Well, my OP highlighted that fact that Killzone 2 is selling so poorly compared to other Sony published games.

There's really no reason for Socom of all games to be outselling it two fold per week.

Don't mean to be snotty, it's just that these two games are compared so frequently and I just don't get it. Yes, their FPS. Yes, their the two big FPS franchises of the HD console manufacturers. BUT, they're not comparable on any other front. I just don't get the frequent comparison and hate when it seems like Killzone 2's sales are bad because Halo's are HUGE, even if I think Killzone 2 should have performed a tad better.

okay cool, lol.

for what its worth, my reason for comparing the two games is because there both generic imo, though KZ2's graphics does make it unique. then again like you said which i forgot somehow, Halo has legend behind it.

I remember Haze and Resistance 1 were outselling MGS4 early 2009. The charts are baffling sometimes.

Well...Main reason is that our clan got destroyed when you started to play Demon's Souls..

Maybe marketing?...But that shouldn't be it since it got solid marketing.
Or bad impressions by Killzone 1 and Liberation?

Or unlike previous generations, graphics won't sell the game to the audience..
