It's because those "Fans" are hopeful that somehow if a new FF "fails" (LOL), S-E will go back in it's quest to improve and to evolve the FF series and just play it safe by rehashing the content from FFVI and FFVII :P

to me it sounds like final fantasy fans are moron. they don't like the game yet they keep playing it and hype the newest game like the second coming of christ

Don't put all FF fans in the same bag, if you please.

I can agree that some, the vocal minority, fits those molds, but most of us just appreciate the series for what it is ;)

For me the fans are s[plit into 2 category. Pre-7 and post-7. Pre-7 are the people that are true fans and probably have played most of them. The Post-7 most of them only like Cloud, seph and Tidus, lol.

Tidus was an awful main character in a great game.
