Forums - Sony - PS Video Store, 3D compatible?

This is just speculation, but I wonder if Sony would be able to stream 3D stereocscopic movies from the PS Store. I know there aren't a lot around, but I think they could get another good 3D push on the PS3 if they could do that. I know I'd rent some 3D movies if they did it, which would be my first time actually wanting to use it. Not that there are a lot of 3D movies right now, but they are certainly coming.

Would you be interested in renting 3D movies from the PS Store?

I would still prefer blu-rays. First of all they need to increase the amount of HD content

Yeah, especially 3D porn movies.

woulld it be different to streaming any other movie?

I don't really know, I have this idea that they might require extra bandwidth, but I don't know if it's an issue or if I'm just making something up here.

I prefer blu-rays too, but I'm not gonna buy every movie I want to watch. And if I got myself some 3D equipment, I'd definitely rent a 3D movie from in there.

Wouldn't it help if the store had streaming in the first place?

For movies it wouldn't be any different, It's a matter of sending a duplicated image turned semi transparent so there shouldn't be a problem but this is only IF your using the old fashioned colored 3D. The new 3D in films are actually still colored it's just the tints are so light that you can't tell really.

and what he said ^ you don't stream movies they download to your hard drive unless your talking about the netflix.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Well, I figured the streaming tech/Qriosity would be on the PS3 when 3D came around
