So before MS shows any games that they are releasing for it, people should bitch about the fact that no games will work on it and the games that do, will be shovelware?

They have shown us a peripheral that has issues so far. Burnout Lite is the best they have shown.  Riccochet the second best example they have shown seems to be kinda laggy and strange with jackets.   Other than that we have avatar spasms, half life and geometry wars spasms.  This is the kinda stuff you would think should build anti hype. And based in what we thought the Wii was capable of and we got you should be pessimistic too.  These aren't new developers.  They are the same ones who have been putting out mostly crap with the 3 years they have had to learn and improve upon that brand new control option.  You expect them to just get it now?

I think this technology is amazing.  Especially for OS and media control.  For games however they have not shown anything to be excited for.  When they do I will be excited. I'm tired of being made out as some villain because they have shown crap and half for games so far.

The only things they have shown to the public are what they showed at E3.  The geometry wars and half life stuff was internal tech demonstrations.  Of course there will be issues.

When I see something that looks like it doesn't have issues i will be optimistic.

I've heard that MS voice support for windows sucks. Why should i think Natal will be leaps and bounds better? They put a lot of effort into windows as its a big money maker.

Obviously it will own the Wii with no regrets =) Its about time we get something new.

Just like the launch of this gen consoles. Wii was already a laughable failure. Totally no mercy.

Oh wait....

How will the PS3 Wand going to better the wii remote they basically do the same (from what I have seen), is there something I'm missing?

I'm still confused as to why people think an unproven/failed (new eyetoy?) peripheral will somehow do better than a controller that has proven to be a success (Wiimote/Gem).

I'm not saying Gem is going to be a huge success but I don't see how it can do worse than Natal. We've seen how successful Wii Sports Resort is due to M+, PS3 should have the best version of Tiger 11 this year, the inevitable lightsaber game should also be best on PS3.

Natal just doesn't have the precision and I don't see anyone other than Nintendo who could make compelling software for it.

I don't think anyone is saying that it will do better, in fact, that is 99.999% impossible.  It is just going to be interesting to see what developers do with it.  I am intrigued.

Why/how would EA suddenly come up with "new ideas and ways to play" now, when they've had more than 3 years to come up with something for the Wii and failed?

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Yup, PS3 Wand doesn't have a nunchuck, limiting how you'll move

What are you talking about Raze? The Nunchuk isn't attached to the Wiimote. You can remove it when you need to. So that comment failed. Also, I agree with Peachbuggy. All of these publishers now suddenly fully devoted to Natal and the Wand, are either going to have to admit they were slacking on the Wii and not giving a real effort, or they will reproduce the same failures they are already experiencing with the Wii.

I have a feeling that the NATAL and wand will not grow the market as much as these analysts think they will. most die hard HD gamers have been so anti motion controls, that these games will sit on the fringes of the consoles, much like anything that uses the eyetoy.

we'll see, I could be wrong, but I think a few too many "fair weather companies" are gouing to try and flood it like they did the Wii, and it will blow up in their faces.
