And I came here hoping my dream was a premonition, and that the game would be announced, but alas, I was sorely dissapointed :(. Now I want this game to come out more than ever, as it was so much fun to play in my dream. Seriously, think of the possibilities. Imagine the plane game in WSR, which was fun by itself, but with a full fledged Pilot Wings game built around it, complete with high scores, flying through rings in a given time, picking up items and upgrades, shooting at targets, and playing as different characters.

Why must you torture me, Nintendo? Release this game now! It is a no brainer! Also it would be a great way to show off motion plus controls, and appease the core gamers on Wii. Anyone else want this game as much as me? The N64 version was so much fun back in the day. A Wii version with motion plus support and (somwhat) better graphics would be even better.

I'm with you on that one. Loved the pilot game in WSR but something more full-featured would be wonderful.

In the meantime there's Innocent Aces coming out.

Motion plus dogfights are awesome.

I don't care if it's Pilotwings, Starfox, Rogue Squadron or a completely new IP, I want a full flying game with airsports M+ controls.

My ideal game would be Pilotwings with classic, current and future planes. It'd use the Punchout cast (grandkids/grandparents) and span 3 generations of aircraft. Hot air balloons, biplanes, blimps, Gyro/helicopter, gliders, jetfighters and a ton of crazy futuristic planes. Team based battlemodes, challenges like in the original but multiplayer and a 20hr singleplayer or co-op 'story' mode.

Do it already Nintendo!!!

Probably won't ever happen. I'll just have to console myself with WSR and The Sky Crawlers. :(

Stop reminding me how much I want this. It doesn't even have to be pilotwings. A well done 1:1 flying game would be excellent. It's just so absurdly obvious that this would be a good fit for the Wii yet nobody has jumped at the opportunity yet.

Man I remember when I once had a dream that I had Pikmin 3. Than when I woke up. I was like awww. Though I want this game to be released in virtual console. I'm sure it'll be good on the N64. (Pilot wings 64)

Once I had a dream that I woke up, turned on my TV, and watched some all new episodes of Ren and Stimpy.


I think they split up Pilotwings and put it in different games. You got the airplane in Wii Sports Resort, and the birdman game in Wii Fit Plus.

But I still believe a rocketbelt game could stand on its own with Wii controls. You control one rocket with each hand. These controls could also work for a Star Wars Pod Racer game if they ever wanted to do that again.
