oh my bad, I wrote that incorrectly.  The "hopefully it doesn't happen too soon though" was about Sony leaving the game industry not about the sun thing.  We pretty much know when the Sun will do that and we'll all be long long long dead.

I was always under the assumption that Sony would outlast the Sun...

lol yeah, the ship we use to leave the planet will be called the S.S. Walkman and will somehow run on Bluray and the Cell :P

Lol the cell and blu ray will invent Warp Speed...

All gamers are geeks, no question. Also yes,I do hope they leave. isn't it possible though cause they're still loosing money even on the slim.....I'm not exactly sure though.

If anything, microsoft is a lot more likely to leave the console business than Sony is.

Gaming is not at all a core business for Microsoft, while it is for Sony.

If MS wants to leave, they'll probably do it aftre they've accomplished their console business plan......which was to compete with Sony's Console and win.

yeah, I think I got the wording wrong, cause if that is their business plan and the 360 comes second and PS3 third, then they have acheived their business plan and thus, this would be their last generation :S

If Sega could get back the employees that Sony and other 3rd party developers poached after the demise of the Dreamcast & thereafter then i think Sega would be a force again.

Yup, time to leave Sony, i want my Dreamcast 2 with Shenmue III, Streets of Rage 4, Jet Set Radio Future 2 & Virtua Fighter 6, and a True sequel to Treasures AMAZING Sega saturn game...... Guardian Heroes. (3RD party support would help this time too EA you swines)
