Forums - Sales - Cursed mountain: Great game, not so great sales.

Ari, it is a very good game with some minor flaws, but you do have to be open to a slower paced, slightly strange game experience. The story is well delivered. I think you'll like it.

100k is quite bad. I don't understand why the cool games don't sell on Wii. Like Cursed Montain, Lil King's story, Muramasu, Madworld, Conduit, Aquarium and stuff.

Slimebeast, there's loads of reasons. Lack of hype, poor marketing, mediocre reviews, niche genres, lack of big name IP or franchise awareness are but a few that apply to some or all of the games.

I agree with all of you and thanks for posting your comments on this great game. I know it doesn't have the hype or backing of big publishers, but it seems to me that the survival horror genre isn't taking off on the wii. I have just started playing Silent Hill Shattered Memories. It's another great game, and again, bad sales.

Proud owner and supporter of the YAKUZA games!

Ok, i just bought it for about 15$ (US). Sound design/draw distance/graphics and setting detail are beautiful. Def. worth the bucks for that sound design alone.

Reminded me of Silent Hill and i can't believe the game was getting 5/10 scores. That is unbelievably harsh, regardless of the fact that ive only started playing it.

Actually, if anyone knows of any walkthroughs with maps/pictures included i would like to know.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I finished 2 chapters on my first play. Continuing this weekend.

The game is definitely slow. You run like you walk, and you walk like you...

One thing stand out that I don't like is that, I have to be face up right in front of a door to be able to tell if that door can be accessed.
