Ke$ha the new pop singer has come out with her new album "ANIMAL" her debut, it is expected to top susan boyle this upcoming week, and hit #1 its first week on the billboard 200 charts.
"Her "Animal" album was initially projected to sell maybe 100,000 copies in the week that just ended on Sunday, Jan. 10. However, sources say it actually sold about 150,000 copies, easily beating Boyle's "Dream."
All of these figures are projections from industry sources based on internal data. The real, final Nielsen SoundScan numbers, as reflected in the Billboard 200 album chart, won't be released until Wednesday, Jan. 13."
Ke$ha's current single TIK TOK, is currently #1 on the HOT 100, followed by her upcoming 2nd single "BLAH BLAH BLAH" (yes thats the song) which is expected to debut at #2 on the HOT 100. Here is a sample of the top selling artist of 2010 thus far in the US:

Now ofcourse, the reviews aren't too high, but I BELIEVE SONY bought a significant amount of both her album and single sales, to get people to think she is the new HOT THING.
Why do I say this? TIK TOK released in AUGUST and was eclisped by other songs, specifically Lady GaGa's paparazzi and love game.
Now if you look at it, had TIK TOK not suddenly exploded with sales, LADY GAGA would have had her 3rd HOT 100 #1 with BAD ROMANCE.
So clearly there is something going on here.. atleast in my opinion.
