Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rising Star Games - Little King's Story still selling well

Still plan to buy Muramasa and LKS. So sales might continue for some time.

so much for LKS and murasama being bombs. They probably had realistic expectations and know how to make a relatively low budget game that have beautiful graphics because of art, not pushing polygons.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

As the Resident Little King's Story Superfan™, I hate to do this, but...

Let's not read this entry out of context. Rising Star, the European publisher, is apparently quite happy with LKS' sales. That's fantastic, and I mean that without the slightest trace of sarcasm. Unfortunately, what's profitable for them as a regional publisher may still not be enough for Marvelous, the financier of the project. In light of Marvelous' comments, and how far this game is from their sales expectations, I strongly suspect this is the case here.

As for Muramasa, I stand by my earlier comments. I think it underperformed for Rising Star (although I also suspect that the game was good for Marvelous). Look at the question, and then note how evasive the answer was regarding the market success.

meh been lookin for little kings story for months and still can't find it so they can fuck off until they start shippin round these parts...anyway good to hear its still selling well

Good to hear. As long as they weren't outright failures, their effort for future releases will not waver. I guess they didn't have to sell as much to do decently as I thought.

nintendo should help but they dont even help themselves. Seriously, excitebots? the issue is that ninty has money and advertises NSMB and MK even in the farthest corner of south america(where not ms nor ps3 even try), yet ignores a bunch of other franchises.

I hated that Island of Happiness HM game. Still nice to see them doing well, I gotta pick up LKS sometime, seems real fun.

Niche publishers like Rising Star and X-SEED lack the manpower, connections, or resources to advertise very widely.
