the PS3 launched with a 600 euro price tag in Holland.. yet it sold very well..

now its at a 300 euro price tag and it is selling on par with Wii, Xbox 360 left quite far behind due to PS3 being the main HD console in Holland..

we can all argue that Xbox 360 is also now what it should be at its launch since they are not selling as much as they want and to this day they have a lower selling rate of units per day than the PS3... i for once think that even today WII its not in the price range that i am willing to pay for it... every body have thoughts about what others should have done, but if opinions were so great we werent given them, we were selling them... i do think that sony is coming in the right direction and that lots of things didn't go as planed... but some of your options aren't really options if you want o survive is this business... lower price at launch? they were already losing 80 bucks per machine, wait another all year? with xbox with more than 2 years ahead and wii with one year ahead PS3 wouldn't be growing now, it would be dead, launch with wand? so it would be WII rival and have bad controls, would be allot more expensive and wouldn't have games like wii sports and wii fit... now where do you think PS would be if they did that? really? think about it...

There was nothing wrong with Xbox 360 launch(well rrod). Puplic compares Ps3 with Ps2 and Xbox with 360.
Xbox 360 was also first this gen console and it felt like it.Its price was also good and 50€ for year online managed to reduce costs.
And it had pretty good games on its first year.Gears of war hit me like hammer.Yet I didin't buy it since Ps2 had great games coming.

Yes, it has a decent amount of good games and exclusives. Including 2 Uncharteds, 3 R&Cs, and 4 CoDs.

No console in history has had a lineup like this at launch. Don't be ridiculous.
