I'd like to see Nintendo to do an FPS and see how well they fair against the major franchises.

i reckon nintendo can do well of making a fps.. why not make there own fps franchise, nitnendo needs to make a real fps to compete with Killzone and Halo.. metroid prime doesnt really count because its acturally a FPA.

Well as far as we know, they're working on an IP that's not Metroid right now... could very well be a new IP, too. Can't wait to find out, it's gonna be incredible, no doubt.

Indeed.

I kinda hope they're going for a new IP, see what they can do with that, clean slate and all, without having to worry about a franchise's roots and fanbase and such. I have high hopes!

I want a Star Fox, but with no ground phases, no RPG, no spinoff. Linear or 3D shoot frenzy, I don't care, but bring us that old school starfox !!!!

nintendo will release star fox eventually, i mean they have been getting so many request to make a star fox game lol, but this gen is really desperate for a flight sim, im kinda worried that genre is dying lol

YES! There has been more than enough Metroid in the past 5 years or so, let's have something new please.

In fact, this is becoming a problem for Nintendo in general. Aside from the Wii series there hasn't been any new IP from Nintendo on Wii...and while I like the Wii series, the settings and characters are fairly generic. Why do I have to go to Sega and Capcom and Ubisoft to explore new worlds?
