Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Will Nintendo Fans have a dry year for 2011??

Ok so we are all really excited with the Big N's excelent line up for 2010, after all who doesnt care for the new Zelda Game to come as soon as possible... That, with the new Galaxy and Other M. Nintendo has all his big franchises to come in form of games out this year. Nintendo will then reedem themselfs with the N fans!! which is great. Its gonna be a great year to play games!!

But you know what guys i cant help but thinking that in 2011 we are gonna have another DRY year full of shovelware ( kinda what happend in the second half of '08 and first half of '09).

What do you guys think?will 2011 be the Pikmin, Kirby,FZero, Star Fox,and kid Ikarus  Year??? or Will it be another year of casual games and Nintendo fans Mad!??

Nintendo fans will be butthurt regardless of what happens.

Nintendo could release a sequel to two core franchises each month for an entire year and there'd still be whiners.

"Where are my <insert old, irrelevant franchise that hasn't seen the light of day since the 90's here>"

Pixel Art can be fun.

Wii will top 100 Million in 2011 and whatever Nintendo unviles at E3 will most likely turn up in 2011 most likely, at this year's E3 will be the right time to show F-zero and starfox. But we know that there will be 2 or 3 trailer that will keep us warm, zelda trailer and possibly a super mario galaxy 2 gameplay.

In 2010 there will probably be Retro's game, Pikmin 3, maybe a new Intelligent Systems game (new Paper Mario?). I don't see Star Fox/F-Zero unless Nintendo surprises.

You forgot Project Sora's game.

From nnounced titles from nintendo yes . Though if they don't announce a big wii title in E3 10. I think 3rd parties will try and take over

any sequal for the wii series for 2011 (resort 2)?? or a new 2d mario??

Wii games are often not announced until 6 mths prior. I'm sure there's a long to be announced for '10 let alone '11. Wii will have a 80m base by the time 2011 rolls around. I'm sure there'll be plenty of games.

There's always the new Retro game. And I'm sure Nintendo will ready plenty of quality software for 2011. Iwata himself admitted that this years slump in Wii sales was because they hadn't released enough quality SW. They won't make that mistake again.

probably, just look at 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, there were LONG DRAUGHTS of quality games for the wii. 2010 is the exception.
