Forums - Sony Discussion - In preparation for the PS Wand

Reasonable said:
I have an Eye due to LittleBigPlanet primarily, and then picked up a couple of the 'demo' titles like Trials.

It's very probable I'll get the Wand and I'd say having an Eye just makes it much more likely, so while a sample of 1 is terrible, I'll go out on a limb and say I'd expect a majority of Eye owners to invest in the Wand unless they have been totally turned off by the experience. For example, if you have Eyepet, and Sony release a decent fun title for Wand that should appeal to same demographic, a purchase is probably a sure thing.

In the end while nothing huge, Sony will likely see an initial boost to Wand takeup via existing Eye owners. Not enough to make a huge difference I suspect, but no doubt better than a poke in the eye!

I got mine for LBP as well, though I have Eyepet now. And I agree that the Eyepet demography is probably going to take up the wand the most of all, but how much it will matter in total is something else.

Those are games for the Wand, and are not "just" PS Eye compatible.

A Gran TRurismo premium bundle should be released containing the game, a wheel, and the PSEye. Maybe for $100-$120. If people pay this much or more for rockband stuff that only really works with one other clone game I don't see why they wouldn't buy this type of bundle with such a huge game and two accessories that could be used with many other games.

Wow very good job Rainbird. Did you wrote all this stuff?

It's a very useful thread.

Such a bundle would sell better than you probably realize. Just the wheel alone would go from $149.99 (Logitech Driving Force GT) to $299.99 (Logitech G27). Then there's the game for $59.99 and the PlayStation Eye for $39.99.

Sad to say, your bundle will never happen.
