Kratos went to the Great War after Athena died, and brought the titans back...at that point, Zeus was bitching about Kratos - which would mean this happened after Zeus died...so ?
Actually, the time of the Great War takes place before the Titans were imprisoned by Zeus. This is a long time before the events of even GOWII, since in both GOWI and GOW2 you see titans imprisoned (Cronos in 1, Atlas in 2).
Kratos is going to reshape the history of the Greek Mythology before it has a chance to even happen.

This would mean that ARES and Athena are ALIVE !
Time travel is confusing....Kratos brought the titans to the future when they were about to lose..thats what I think anyway....Think it'll be more clear to us on the 16th...
Anyway...what colour were Kratos' tattoos before they were red ?

Actually, you're right. He does go back to the time of the great war, but teleports the Titans back to the present, because Kratos says to Gaia that they can win the Great War, but not on the past. Had to see the FMV's myself to get it straight, it has been too long since I last played the game, sorry >_<
About your question, i'm going to pass on this one, since I have literally no idea, was it shown in any of the developers videos or bonus content in previous GoW's?
