Forums - Gaming Discussion - What was your worst gaming moment in 2009?

I always keep a couple of extra batteries in my pocket in case my wiimote dies. While playing COD reflex with a pocket full of batteries and change, I noticed a slight warm and tingly sensation on my leg. Since I was in the heat of battle I didn't pay much attention to it.

By the time the game ended the heat was getting more intense so I stuck my hand in my pocket to see what was going on. The batteries had some how managed to get some current flowing by interacting with themselves and the change. Everything was so hot that the casing on one of the batteries had melted and I got a slight burn on my hand.

I quickly removed my pants and got my pajamas on in time for the next game.

Resident Evil 5. The game...was nowhere as good as RE4.

360 dying, Prototype, The Conduit (multiplayer and single player ending), Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and being unable to play Street Fighter IV because 360 controller sucks for that kind of game

I'd say the worst moment out of all of those is definitely Prototype. That was just one of the most disappointing games ever. I mean 11 years since Ocarina of Time came out and perfected the lock on targeting system and this game gets it wrong... badly haha. Just inexcusable. Say after that the 360 dying. Then The Conduit on the areas I mentioned.

Next Ratchet and Clank on PS3. Seriously being such a fan of platformers and being really hyped for that (first PS3 game I played) and then being uttlerly disappointed. Why people call it a platformer is beyond me. Finally of course the disappointment with Street Fighter IV. Ugh just can't play the game on 360 with the controller.

WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST MAKE AN SIMPLE OPEN WORLD ADVENTURE TITLE!!! WTFF!

Imo  Brutal Legend has found the perfect RTS formula for a console, it isn't hindered by a lack of mouse and keyboard but still has tons of strategy and depth. I can understand alot of people not liking it, as EA really didn't put across the fact the game was an RTS, but it's pretty fun and well made imo.

Online is a pain though, as much fun as it is, everyone sucks hard and I keep winning without having to think :(.

Either when my ps3 stopped working or the night i picked up Modern Warfare 2.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Sooo true man. So true.....

Hmm it would have to be when I believed the hype of NSMBW and got somewhat excited since I loved SMB3......but then I played it......

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
