Not at all. A couple of them I hope they change. ie Fallout 3, one of the best games ever and it only got an 8.2

no, I wouldn't he mad

What if the spectrum is limited to only 12 months after a games release can things be changed?

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Maybe add something like a "second opinion--six monthes later" to the end of the review; reviewer reflects with how the game has held up over time, what they'd score it now. But still keep the original as the main score.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

I would love this. I even Had review theory something like this.

"Rainbird: Why don't Nintendo and Microsoft Copy the Sony Blog?

Bagenome:You can't shoot things on a blog, and babies can't read, so I don't think it would suit either one's target audience."

i altered my old buzz review score.. so no...

Not the same, your score had never been altered from when we went from letter systems to number systems, and the letter systems had number ranges.

No, we will not edit scores. Not all reviews will be "perfect" and it's impossible for everyone to agree with a review in its entirity anyway. There's a massive range of review scores for almost any game out there, and what our scores are is what they are. Like it or not. Hopefully you actually read the review and find out for yourself whether you think the score is justified or not by the content, rather than just some general opinion of the score range of the game.

I wouldn't be upset, but I would be confused. If a game is reviewed as a 7, then it gets bumped to an 8, I would say the reviewer was too hasty in getting their review out and they didn't give the game a chance. In which case the reviewer should take more time in future to really get a proper handle on the game, making adjustments unnecessary.

If they dropped it from an 8.5 down to an 8 I'd say why bother? Is it really that big of a deal? And of course my first point also applies here.

While I wouldn't be upset by it I do question the need for it. I can't imagine anyone wanting to move a review score by more than 1 point. It's not like your gonna want to make a 5/10 game a 9/10 game all of a sudden is it?

Now 2nd opinion reviews (by a different staff member) might be worth looking at.

It wouldn't upset me. I'd actually like to see sites grow some balls and do this more often. It's got nothing to do with pleasing fanboys or publishers. Sometimes you just get it wrong, or you miss something important to the game's overall score.

Of course not

In the VG Chartz team forum there is just a few people that usually goes over the reviews that someone writes up and could mean the score may be still to low or to high, but when you get the opinion of a hundred people replying to the review and everyone is saying it should be higher or lower then maybe the score should be change to satisfy what the VG Chartz members thinks instead of what the people that wrote up and approved the review think (As long as the members have good enough reasons to drop or raise the score).

Sinse the review IS technically the websites (VG chartz) review and score, not just one persons opinion. When you see a review on Metacritic it wont say the review came from Torillian or Machina it's going to say VG Chartz reviews.

That's the way I see it.

That's silly, If that were true most reviews would have to be changed in some way because people always complain about them.  There are always fans of each game that think it should score higher, but I'm not going to give a game a 9.8 because the fans think it should be scored that high.

When that review goes up it has my name on it, if you want the forum goers consensus on a game's score we can bring back those VGChartz rating things that we used to have, because those certainly were accurate (sarcasm)
