Killzone is the shit
Good for KZ2!
and that's it! I'm getting the Sims3. I guess one PC game wouldn't hurt my non-gaming computer.

Pre-programed AI is not a big thing, they been doing it since PS1.

What do you mean by "pre-programmed"?
All top-down AI is "pre-programmed" since before not only the PS1 but even the Atari 2600 was just a glimpse in the machine god's eye, and even bottom-up neural networks are at least partially pre-trained when used in commercial software.
If you mean "100% scripted", then you're off track. The real issue is how much is statically scrpited and how much is dynamically dependant on the external conditions. In KZ2, like in all FPS, enemies react to your actions, to the dynamic environment, to the changing goals and ebbing of the battle.
In particular, if you read the article, KZ2 bots have a complex system of priorities that influence their behaviour when trying to reach team objectives. It's often used in RTS games, but it was higly appreciated by developers of the field for the use Guerrilla made of it. I'll trust them more on what is or is not a "big thing", frankly :)
I'm glad KZ2 got this as the AI was good I thought, and of course covered not just SP but MP bots too. Too few FPS these days have proper bots, particularly on consoles.
While they can't compete with online, the offer a great way to learn maps and routes, plus some fun if you're offline - they also require some pretty decent AI to work well of course.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Great to see good recognition for Killzone 2, well deserved.
They couldn't win "best graphics" awards for most due to the brilliance of Uncharted 2 (which is also GOY for most). And most "best FPS" awards went to Call of Duty: MW2, due to all the hype and overshadowing sales.

Let me explain.
MW2 has pre-Programed AI.
ODST does not have pre-programed AI.
I havnt played KZ2 in a long time so i could be wrong when i say it has PP AI.
