http://ispss.istreamplanet.com/nvidia/

Here are the highlights...

1.Tegra chip

140 hours of music playback, or 16 hours of hd video playback on battery.

- Verizon using one to demonstrate 4G apparently. Impressive 3d browser on android. Good resolution to be fair!
- Foxconn tablet being demoed, nice UI, fancy 3d menu system. HDMI output on the side.
- MSI tablet.
- ICD tablet.
- Notion ink tablets. front lit, and backlit to reduce power.

1080p video being demonstrated, versus Intel Atom (OF COURSE). Looks good to be fair!

Epic games founder and CEO invited on stage - Tim Sweeney.

Porting Unreal platform to mobile device; full version of UE 3, all lighting, physics, etc like you would find on any platform turned on! Same engine as used on 360/ps3/PC!

2. Nvidia 3D Vision

- MSI, Asus, Clevo announcing 3dVision capable laptops.

- More screen vendors to support 3d, and 120Hz. Acer, Alienware, LG, Samsung,  plus existing.

- More game vendors. Over 400 games, pretty much all new games is compatible with 3d Vision.

- Special Avatar 3d edition with Ubisoft and James Cameron.

- 3D photographs?! Off the shelf cameras able to take 3D pictures.

- Inside latest GPU's is a new processor, that can process full HD with all the necessary performance to do it in 3D. Part of ALL new GPU's. Worlds first 3D blu-ray accelerated experience;
- 3D plug in for youtube allowing playback of movies in 3d online too. Can be recorded on 3D cameras like the Fuji one.

3. Geforce Videocards

New GeForce cards in volume production now.

Sneak peak at CES at booth only, no specs or exact release date confirmed in live conference

However, GF100 introduces 3D Vision Surround. Three screens, 6 million pixels, all running at 120Hz.

Some good stuff here! Nvidia is the current leader of 3D gaming and they don't seem to be losing any steam.

Here is the conference in detail.

Early 3D adopters...we are all watching sony right now actually. They made some crazy promises with 3D and PS3...we are all curious how it will work.

Could you lay out the situation for me? I'm no expert on 3D, and I didn't follow their CES conference either, but I am curious no less.

The Sony conference annoucne 3D blurays are coming and ps3 will be able to play them.

3D video works by showing the same video twice, slighly skewed on top of each other. In order not to see blinking and for you not to get a severe eyestrain and a headache, this video needs to be shown at:

- 1 stream of 120 hz refresh rate

- 60 hz refresh rate x 2 streams

Then, using glasses which shutter 60 times per second and sync with the data stream, the user sees depth creating the cool 3D experience.

We all know 120 hz TVs are coming, and not the fake ones that are out now...but real 120 hz TVs that can take the 120 hz input and produce output...so there is nothing crazy about that.

However PS3 can not output 120 hz in 1 stream. HDMI 1.3 does not have the ability to do this. Therefore PS3 needs to do the 1080p video stream @ 60 HZ X 2!

I am not doubting the power of the PS3 but my computer that is much more powerful than current gen consoles can not do this. So we are all curious how this will work. 2 ps3s at the same time? Interlacing 1080p signal?

3d gaming on ps3 is another mistery which boggles the mind... cause PS3/360 cant run most games at 1080p X 1...let alone X 2...lol

Maybe TEH Cell is finally becomming handy. I realize that it is not that superior gaming wise (for example compared to Xenon) but if I have unterstood right it is pretty powerful when it comes to crushing numbers.

Thanks for the heads up, that does indeed seem mysterious. Hopefully they will do well at pulling it off.

Hahaha you beat me to it!  But Ill add a few things :)

-Need HDMI 1.4 to support 120hz 1080p signal output (which cannot be upgraded via firmware)

-The Blueray group promising 1080p @60hz per eye.

Your computer probably can do this.  I just hooked up another monitor to my other video output and ran a blueray at 1080p on both screens (using nvidia dual view).  each at 1080p @ 60hz :)

Awesome conference.  This just makes me want to buy Nvision even more.  And 3D pictures? That is hot.  With all these new pushes into 3D by just about everyone who makes tech, I have a feeling this might take off more than any of us are willing to admit (I am sure as hell excited by all of this.  Tho I want LASERS even more)
