Because we gamers are a far too competitive race, I'm afraid.... everything is a competition.

I mean look at this very poll for example.  Only one or 2 of the people who actually posted voted no, and yet the stats are tied with maybe Disagree pulling ahead at some point.  Just goes to show that there are a lot of PS3 fans out there that aren't even giving the 360 credit and just saying no based on their competitive nature to diss on their competitor and promote only their console of choice.

And I just bought a new 240hz 47" HDTV so my wallet is thin already.... 2010 = empty wallet.

I agree wholeheartedly. I didn't own a 360 back in 2007, so I didn't have the anticipation factor then. So for me, this is crazy time!

Actually that was on topic, it's just that your viral marketing ways tried to spin it out of context.

2010 Hardware Sales Predictions

Wii: 20m- Sales will drop, but not by much.

PS3: 13.5m- It sold 12m in 2009, its only common sense it will sell more this year.

Xbox 360: 11m- It sold 11m in 2008 and 2009, I think it will sell the same.

Why do you have to make excuses to defend a product that you purchased, but that's the only connection you have to it, you don't make it, you don't lose or gain money on it. I don't see where all of the defensiveness comes in, there is no reason for you or anybody else to feel obligated to defend it. Now I would understand if one of you were a developer for the product and you slaved over said product only to hear somebody call it stupid or a piece of junk. But none of you developed it, none of you are mature enough to realize that. Choosing a product all comes down to preference, you chose said product because it is best for you. Simple as that!

So you don't see how saying something about Sony is off topic in regards to a discussion based solely on Microsoft/Xbox?  I get the point you were making, that you can't believe PR "blah blah", but we already know that.
