Sebastian was the same guy who thought MW2 would sell 20 million, ROFL, now its getting slaughtered by mario

MW 2 that has sold over 14 Million copies in 7 weeks? Probably closer (or over) to 15 Million if you add whatever has been sold on PC.

NMSB Wii has sold 8.6m in 6 weeks.

How is NSMB currently slaughtering MW2, exactly?

*looks at weekly sales*

*looks at fact that its passed both versions individually while still selling over 1.5 million a week*

Yet it is still behind MW2 in sales.

For now, but the way it's selling, it'll not only pass MW2, it could likely pass NSMB DS and even 30 million

So?

Does that mean MW2 wont reach 20 Million?

Does it change the fact that currently MW2 > NSMB Wii?

Actually, tthe reason why MW2 won't reach 20 Million, is because its already running out of steam, and we haven't even seen how far it'll fall after the holidays.

As for the second issue, the fact that MW2 combined is higher than the NSMB Wii for the moment doesn't change that NSMB Wii is crushing it, one need only look at weekly sales and how quickly NSMB Wii has passed the sales of each version separately

 so hence my points stand, MW2 is being crushed by NSMB Wii and will not reach 20 million

Seriously, can you stop making facts up, it's very annoying.

How is MWF2 running out steam? So MWF2 will stop selling while NSMB will keep selling 1.5 million a week?

Tell me one game that has sold 14 million copies in 7 weeks?

Umm, how is it making stuff up when the 360 and PS3 versions are dropping off/leveling off in sales, that's called running out of steam.

I'm not saying NSMB Wii will sell 1.5 million every week, but the fact that its maintained 1.5 million sales shows that it will have sustained high sales, and its an evergreen Wii title, which means long run sales for years.

So what if it sold 14 million in 7 weeks?  That doesn't mean its sales will keep going, in fact its likely it won't, on the other hand NSMB Wii will keep going like most Wii games, even better perhaps.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

GTA IV had a similar advantage over Mario Kart Wii, for a little while.

GTA4 and MK Wii have nothing to do with this discussion.

Even if you bring them into it... It doesn't change the fact that Modern Warfare 2 is still above NSMB Wii.

For a little while sure, but like all other such evergreen Wii titles, they always push past the PS3 and 360 games

he's not debating the fact NSMB will outsell MWF2, he is saying that it's still leading at the moment and selling very well too.

Not as well as NSMB Wii

It is quite relevant because NSMB and MW2 will follow the same sales pattern.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I like to assume he means in terms of weekly sales

2009

MWF2 = 14 MILLION SOLD

NSMB= 8.6 MILLION

No matter how you spin it, even after NSMB outsell it this year, only one game sold the most in 2009.

WTF is MWF2?

is MW2....ROFL ROFL ROFL

MW2 sold over 1 million last week, thats basically like more than what 90% of games sell lifetime & around what uncharted 2 launched at

its not "running" out of steam

It won't be an evergreen like NSMB Wii, but you all are forgetting the type of legs COD 4 had
