Forums - Website Topics - Can we make adding games we own more intuitive?

As it is, you need to go to the game's own page to add it, which requires you to find a link to the game by searching or browsing, unless you somehow remember the game code and the proper URL form.

Also, the buttons to add games to your lists are down the page in a small box, which can be really hard to find for those not familiar with the system (at least it was for me).

I do know of at least one user, vaio, who agrees this is a pain to work with (he hasn't added many of his recent games because of this). And for this site, it does consume bandwidth.

Now I don't know if it's practical to change the system, but I at least propose we could add an "I own this" checkbox or button to the search results list, so we don't have to load up a new page (especially if there are multiple items we own in a search list).

I second this

I do not endorse this move

I like the system the way it is at the moment

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Sounds like a great idea!

I've always thought that there should be an 'add game' button when you search for games. It's a pain to add them the way it is now, especially when you want to add a lot at one time.

Try deleting games, its way worse

I like your idea, and i also think that if our games had our personal scores visible somewhere it would be great.

First time i joined this site, i saw people's profiles showing their games and thought that was cool and wanted to do the same......took me weeks later to figure that out how to add games.

That too. Instead of just a simple delete option on the main list, you have one checkbox next to the word "edit", and you enter and leave the edit screen by checking and unchecking the box, which is completely counterintuitive to the actual use of the checkbox. Why not a button like most pages actually have?

Then you can delete games, and even set up games you want first in your profile page. Nice features, but what's up with the directional arrows? I don't see anything that indicates what they do, so I don't even want to touch them.
