I think the playstation skew that this site has is pretty apparent in a thread like this, and I mean that with honesty, no disrespect.
Case in point, R1 and R2, make absolutely no sense to me, and RT would mean Right Trigger, not Right Top. I much prefer RT (right trigger) and RB (right bumper) and wish PS3 manuals would use those designations.
I also don't think those buttons are used for the same thing...in Uncharted the right top shoulder button fires, not the right trigger...
I didn't realize anyone thought that RT meant Right Top and that thought never even entered my mind.
It's a trigger, it's in the trigger spot so I don't know why the T would mean anything other than trigger.
I have heard RB called Right Button and Right Bumper but both of those make perfect sense so there's no worry in that.
Actually, now that I think about it, I have been confused by RB before. I never thought about what the buttons were called until I tried putting a code in for a game. It said press RB. I pressed the Right thumb stick in. I was like, WTF?!! So I looked it up online. What a dumb ass!!
What are those called anyways, when you press the thumbs in?

RS and LS bother me to no end, but that's mainly because I think pressing those while trying to do anything eles with the analog stick couldn't be more awkward.
I'm happy most games just forget those exist.

LS and RS, as in, left stick and right stick. Anyway, you guys should be happy it's not something like this:
Truth does not fear investigation

I agree 100%
Whenever I see something tied to thumb buttons, I always go to the options to see if it's clickable instead of having to hold it down all the time. Using it to run isn't as bad as using it for crouch. It annoys me to no end when I have to hold it down to crouch and try to crouch walk.
