Well done nintendo, another year you proved alot of people wrong again. Lets hope 2010 is just as good but with titles like MH3,Mario Galaxy 2, Grinder, new zelda and maybe pllleeaassee pikmin 3 coming to the wii it could be even better

Those are quite the numbers, I think 2010 will be bigger than 2009 with the NSMBwii momentum going forward.

NPD had DS at 3,040,000 in December 2008.

That was before the DSi, so it was $130 * 3,040,000 roughly. Wii did 2,150,000 in the USA * $250

Basically, the revenue for both Wii and DS should go up...

I'm assuming 1.4m DS Lite and 1.4m DSi sold since Nintendo's press release said:

1) Wii topped 3m in the USA in December.

2) DS hit record figures for a calendar year.

3) Nintendo didn't say DS topped Wii - so it is likely DS sold less than Wii.

4) Based on 2-3, ~2.4m > DS > ~3.0m, since Wii got to 10.16m in the USA in 2008 - the all time record.

4) DS Lite is cheaper, but DSi is new.

This has been Nintendo's day..week..actually month. WSR hit 5m in 5 weeks in EU, NSMB hits 2.5m in EU Wii breaks records in USA, I mean my goodness.
